One of the most accomplished people I know once told me he doesn’t think he has any special talent, he has just pure determination. He doesn’t try things just once, just for kicks. He practices until he gets it right and everything he ever did in his life lines up as part of a fabulous plan which also makes up a hell of a lifestyle.

We don’t think they suit our qualifications or they don’t stir our interest, but we do them anyway to get the money and with that money to buy the essentials for survival. In order to really exploit your potential, you should always considering starting again in a new field, closer to your heart. Keep your eyes and mind open to all the possibilities that may arise and maybe by getting step by step closer you will finally end up doing what you love to earn your living. You will find that doing your work passionately is a very important component of your complete happiness.

3.      Go Towards What Attracts You. As pointed out previously, you will probably be better in a field that you actually enjoy. The ideal is being comfortable in the environment, to be familiar with the process, to see yourself in perspective what you would like to end up doing. For example, my hair stylist is very talented, she went to the best schools in the field and she won a bunch of prestigious awards. But her ultimate dream has always been to run her own ad agency. With the money she earns cutting hair in the evenings (she thoroughly enjoys her work and she makes her own schedule), she can take courses in advertising and she is on her way to accomplishing her final goal. 

4.      Dip Your Feet In The Water. This means experiment as much as you can from as a young age as you can. This is the only way to figure out what you really want. Keep an open mind, learn as much as you can and never stop being curious about the novelties which appear every day. Who knows?! Maybe the thing you were born to do hasn’t been invented yet.

5.      Fresh Perspective. In order to exploit your potential, you should never get stuck in a rut. Always reassess the pillars in your life: establish if you are truly fulfilled in your love life, if you are satisfied with your career, if there is anything at all you would like to change and you think you should alter. It is like waking up every morning and thinking this is the day when I am going to change my life forever with my own decisional powers. Empower yourself continuously and that will boost your state incredibly and be able to recognize that the only person that inputs those limits on yourself actually is you.

6.      Cultivate The Ideal State Of Mind. What exactly do you have to do to reach the state of mind to exploit your potential mercilessly? Relax, relax, and relax. Step away from all your problems, distance yourself from all the comparisons you may be doing in your head and realize that it is only about you and your self improvement.

7.      Surround Yourself With Ambitious Friends. This may seem a bit out of line, but you should take it in consideration. It is so logical it cannot be false. If you surround yourself with positive, expansive, dynamic, clever people, they will drag you along for the fun. A friendly, yet competitive environment would stimulate you to better exploit your potential.
