Best Resignation Letter – Short, Sad And Touching Poem

It is not easy to write a resignation letter especially when you want to say it in form of a short sad and touching poem. You won’t find a sample or example of free resignation letter easily on web which is written in the form of a poem. Well this was a challenge that came to me when one of friends resigned and wanted his resignation letter to be bit different. He has got good reputation and wanted his exit to be pleasant and nice. So we started to brainstorm on what can be different and unique about the way he would resign. I proposed the idea of a resignation speech or a poem but didn’t know the task would come on me only. My past two poems ( Short Romantic Love Poems and Poem for a Great Boss) was a living proof that I can do this job and that too efficiently.

This poem was written last Saturday and it was live the following Monday. The poem was much appreciated in his office and was circulated across. His boss was touched and wanted him to read in front of his team members. On top of it he was offered to come back if the things did not work out the way he wanted. But it was unique and it worked out well. I never intended to publish this poem as a blog post until my friend requested me to do so. Yes, it was his feelings which I modeled in the form of words to express it in a certain manner. This is your work my friend and this is for you and I hope my readers would get benefitted from it too.

I love This Job

But I have to Go

Because I have Got Something

Which I cant Ignore

I Aimed for the Sky

I got the Stars

And I Saw the World Beyond

That I want to Explore

This isn’t for Money, this isn’t my Greed

This isn’t about People that make me Crib

But this is about the Dreams I have always had

A flick of Hope that makes me Mad

I am Upset, I feel Sad

To leave the World I created from Scratch

But now is the age to take more Risk

And this is the Opportunity I could not Miss

Separation will be Painful that’s what it Seems

For I would miss the Boss and the Entire Team

Our Relationship is Eternal and the world is small

And I would be in touch with One and All

End

My last resignation letter was written six years back and the experience was mixed. The exit was not easy because my manager was not happy with it. But there are certain feelings which everyone wants to express. I personally value it a lot mainly because of the years one has given to build a particular organization.
