Many people are discovering what for me, the biggest advantage of the internet is: a home based job. There are many advantages to a home based job, the primary one being of course that it’s much more confortable to work from home than in an office. Some will find it more difficult in some aspects because of the fact that they are not able to concentrate and work outside of a controlled environment like an office. Others on the other hand, find it much easier to create the perfect working conditions at home, so for them this environment leads to more productivity. The other big issue for working at home that I can see is the fact that you don’t have many interactions with other people, which may start to affect you after a while. If you don’t have an active social life outside your work, you may find that working from home may lead to you becoming even more of a shut in. Also a home based job might be the perfect way for you to make some extra money. This type of work is perfect for a second job primarily because you can organize your schedule in such a way that it doesn’t interfere with anything else you might want to do.

1.    You can generally make your own schedule. As I have started to say in the introduction of this article, the main advantage of having a home based job is the fact that you can make your own schedule. Many of the work available to do from home are project based. In this case the employer will give you a task and a deadline. When you decide to do it is up to you as long as it’s done on time. So it isn’t very hard to think of all the advantages that come with the possibility of making your own schedule.

2.    No problems getting to work. Another thing which I find very appealing about a home based job is the fact that you don’t have to worry about getting to work on time. Saving you the hassle of trying to beat the early traffic might prove to be one of the biggest advantages of this type of work. I can tell you from my experience that it is truly refreshing to just get out of bed, plant yourself in front of your computer, and suddenly, you are at work, without any sort of stress.

3.    You can work in your pajamas. Speaking about just getting out of bed, we arrive at another of the biggest advantages of a home based job. You won’t believe the joy you feel sometimes when you figure out that you don’t have to get dressed, and find a clean and ironed shirt, and you can just work while still in your pajamas.

4.    Less time wasted. This is for the greatest thing about a home based job. You can finally stop wasting precious moments of your life doing sometimes routine and useless stuff. Such things are commuting to and from your work every day, or trying to find an appropriate and matching outfit for work every day. In general, the pay is lower than a normal job, but on the bright side you will now have time to focus on some of your other passions, and this will undoubtedly make you a happier person altogether.

5.    Spend more time with your family. One thing which you couldn’t do while working in an office, is bringing your child with you every day. Sometimes most of the time you spend at work and commuting, is the time you could spend with your family, especially with your children. Working from home will give you the advantage of getting to spend some time with your children while you are working, as long as they are not too distracting.

6.    You can create your perfect work environment. For me, a big part of how productive I am at work depends on the environment I am in. For example I love to listen to jazz when I work, but I’m sure that selecting my own music is not a possibility in a big office.

7.    Save some money. Many people complain that a home based job will never pay the same as a normal one. I have only one amendment to add: you have to take into consideration the money you save on transport and clothes before you make this affirmation.

I believe that a home based job is a perfect solution for somebody who is trying to earn a few extra dollars more. The flexibility that this type of work allows will let you focus on the priorities you might want to take care of, which for me is a big bonus. A home based job isn’t for everybody, but my advice to you is to give it a shot.

What Are Team Building Responsibilities?

It’s hard to always get together a team you can rely on. Conflicts arise out of unexpected circumstances between team members, some people aren’t compatible with others, and other times bad communication can lead to stupid mistakes. So, understanding the right steps that need to be taken in order to get a team that works well together is essential. This is why you should always start with a strong team leader. He should have all the authority to select his or her team. He should have all the responsibility and complete control over how the team works. But exactly what are team building responsibilities? In my opinion a good team leader should be able to create a balanced team with every type of personality and skill set, with team members that complete each other; he should be able to set a standard of quality and to explain procedure; and not least he should try to create a winning mentality by letting everyone know how important they are in order to accomplish the common goal.

1.    Create a balanced team. This is one of the most important team building responsibilities. This is where it all starts. Choosing the right members of a team is essential. You should not have many strong personalities or people with the same exact skill set. You should be able to choose people that complete each other both professionally but also personality wise. It’s useless to have a team with great professionals who can’t get along with each other.

2.    Set a common goal. It is very important in any team that all the team members feel like they are an important part of the process, like their work matters as part of the bigger picture. So where does the team leader fit into all of this. What are team building responsibilities in regards to this concept? Well, a great team leader should be able to inspire his team make them always feel special and the most important part of the process, unite everybody behind a common goal.

3.    Set a standard of quality. Fewer and fewer businesses take this factor into consideration: its part of the team builder’s responsibilities to set from the beginning the benchmark of quality, what is and what isn’t acceptable as a finished product for every member of the team. If this is settled form the start than anybody who doesn’t think they can comply can opt out of the team thus saving a lot of time and energy.

4.    Explaining procedure. Another important part of team building responsibilities is represented by the ability to explain and enforce procedure. A good team leader should be able to explain the rules clearly from the beginning. At the same time he should never make any exceptions and he should always be very strict with the punishment that comes with disobeying the rules.

5.    Create cohesiveness. More than anything else the most important part of team building responsibilities comes down to uniting the group. Alleviating animosities, trying to establish activities that involve the group other than work, should all be part of a team builder’s agenda. Of course cohesion can’t be built over night in a group where people don’t know each other, but with enough patience and a lot of effort, a great team leader can create a united group.

6.    Create compatibility between the team members. This actually goes beyond the normal attributes of a team leader, but I believe that somebody in that position should have people skills and should be able to intermediate a conversation between two people that otherwise would be too shy to talk. A great team leader should act as a liaison between the members of a team at first so that they can feel at ease with each other faster.

7.    Evaluate the results. This is another point that sometimes eludes most team builders. As a team leader, you need to take responsibility for the way you created the team and keep track of its progress and its results, and at the same time you should not be afraid to change something if you think it doesn’t work wright

Team building responsibilities thus vary from being a good people person, a good judge of character and temperament, but at the same time, a very strict and fair leader. You also need to set yourself as an example for the whole team, get every team member you selected to respect you because of what you do. Team building is an art and only a few people have mastered it to perfection. I’m sure that there are many other good tips for establishing team building responsibilities but I hope the ones I have written in this article will help you in some way or another.
