We cannot escape ourselves from the difficult teachers, it’s almost impossible. When you become bound to face any difficult teacher, it becomes difficult to manage the school days. If your child comes home and complains that he is facing a difficult teacher now a day in the school, then you should realize that now its time to visit the school and talk to that teacher as well with the principal. In fact, have a conversation with that teacher in front of the principal and try to call other students as well and make them part of the discussion. Difficult teachers are tough to work with and it becomes so difficult to make them realize that they are doing wrong with little kids. It needs a lot of patience, settings and impressive style of interaction to bridge the communication gap. Plan out a Meeting

Arrange a meeting with the difficult teacher and explain the problems your kid is facing in the school. Explain very properly and calmly about the kid’s struggle and then find the best ways to resolve the issue. Be careful that you don’t have to loose your temper while interacting with difficult teacher, it can be harmful. Teacher should feel that you are not blaming or attacking him. You should let him feel that you are looking for a solution for your kid.

Listen to the Teacher as well

When you interact with teacher and discuss about the problems your little one is facing, you should give a chance to the teacher as well to respond. Listen to the teacher calmly and provide him chance to put his points too. Between the conversation, if you notice that only you are talking and the teacher is only listening then it is a good sign, because it is very important to listen, and if he is listening you then he is definitely getting the problem. And most importantly do not forget to thank the teacher at the last for his valuable time and concern for the students.

Suggest some Solutions

If you have some tips or good suggestions then you can share with the teacher in between the conversation. There is nothing bad if by following your helpful tips, student and teacher can make good relationship. You need to be patient even though the teacher gives the impression of unwillingness. You can say your concerns and you have full right to. Your suggestions can help your child.

Analyze the Problem

When your child complains and needs your help, then start analyzing the situation. Sometimes, the teacher may not be at the fault. It may be possible that your child is responsible for the issues. Talk to your kid patiently and calmly and try to analyze the actual picture and consult with the teacher and with his friends too. It is very common that some kids don’t like strict teachers or the teachers who scold them. And then even the student seek out the points to blame the teachers, they don’t care the fact that the teacher is scolding the students for their bright future.

Plan a Meeting with the Principal

If, at last, the teacher gives you the impression of being unhelpful, then plan a meeting with the Principal as well. But keep it as the last option. Because there will be many advantages and disadvantages of your complains with the Principal. If the Principal would be strict enough and concerned for the reputation of the school, then he would take strict action and that action may be harmful for the teacher as well as for the student too. And if the principal would be lenient then he would just scold the teacher and leave him, and then later on the difficult teacher might do something bad with the student. So, you need to be very careful. Or the best would be that when you interact with the Principal, you can call other parents too and then set a combine meeting. It would bind the Principal to take an immediate action.

Change the School

If the above mentioned tips get you nowhere, then perchance it is the right time looking for some other school or institute. Though it is not that much easy because the student may be performing the midterm and may not able to change the school at the last moment. But if it is possible then you can definitely go with this option. There are some schools which give admissions to the students even in the midterm. It is better to go with this before the things get worse and uncontrollable.

Most of the times, the issue will get resolute when you follow the first few tips. But if it does not get, then you need not to get afraid of being your child’s lawyer. After all that is your job and the priority. You don’t have to be hyper, talk politely. When your kid will notice you behaving respectfully with the teacher, then your child may get an important lesson of his life. When you interact with the difficult teacher then do not create it as a complaining session. You just have to keep few things in your mind and then everything will be alright. Once the problem gets resolved, make sure to thank the teacher with a note or email.
