Skill is an acquired trait that enables one to do work. Having skills for a vocation or profession always results to having the necessary capability to execute responsibility, vocation, and job, so interpersonal skill is not only a type of skill but an interactive one. Ability to communicate effectively under any condition, anywhere, will open wide doors of opportunity for success. So it is very important to develop interpersonal skills. Interpersonal skills takes you beyond achievements, it helps to maintain success and achievements. Maybe you have been looking for a job “dream job” for a long time and suddenly you find it, the ability for this goal to be sustained depends largely on how you relate with others – your boss and colleagues. This instance can also apply in other situations, be it education, business, etc. Thus anyone who wishes to become sustainable in achievement ought to acquire interpersonal skill, and one way to do this is to know the list of interpersonal skill.

 

Importance of interpersonal skills: Having interpersonal skills constitutes having spotless communication skills; this means one have to have the required interactive skills like listening techniques, speech techniques, and good social etiquette. 1.                  Develop the attitude of positive thinking, always maintain a positive disposition no matter what you face, or happened around you. 2.                  Negative criticism is the mother of gossip, which sets one back, as often as you criticize another person “negatively” so will you also be criticized, so indulge mostly in positive criticism, and it must be done with the best intentions.

3.                  Patients is a virtue and not a curse, have you heard that the patient dog eats the fattest bone?

4.                  Always listen to people talk, according to experts people should listen 80% of the time and spend 20% of the time talking. Don’t be like the blabber who loves to hear his or her voice, they often don’t get recognized but avoided all the time.

5.                  If you have sense of a good sense of humor good for you, if not try to get one, because no one likes to be around grouches, the bad economy and environmental disasters is doing a good job of turning people to grouches don’t add yours to it.

6.                  Respect your colleagues even if they do not deserve it. It is not your place to put people down, but build people up to your standards even beyond it (if you can)

7.                  When there is a problem look for solutions, don’t tag it to people’s names, never look for who to blame, but assist in finding solutions, even if you don’t know the genesis of such problems, take part in the search for solutions humbly.

8.                  Do not develop the habit of complaining, if you are querulous nib it now before it is too late.
