Does Aggression Means Authority For You
All human beings are driven by different motives that have the potential to make them happy, sad, or even angry. Human emotion comes out in many forms like love, appreciation, hate, praise, aggression etc. All these forms are nothing but a way to represent our mental state and how that state makes us react to our environment. We all are different and so is our response to react to different situations. But it is our response that shapes up our personality and drives our behavior. One of such expression is Aggression that has huge impact on our personality and growth. Aggression refers to behavior between members of the same species that is intended to cause pain or harm. In a civilized society there are behaviors that need to be curtailed and aggression is on the top of those behaviors. The rule of land prohibits such behavior but to a limited extent. Normal instances of aggression are prevalent in many forms in our day to day life. It is the prevalence of such behavior that in some manner has become a social norm and way to interact, deal, transact, and converse between different individuals. So, lets study aggression closely and see how it gets associated with authority.

There is a lot division that happens around us
1) Between Employee and Employer
2) Between Buyer and Seller
3) Between Rich and Poor
Almost in all of these divisions
1) One has advantage over other
2) One hold an edge over the other
3) One hold more power than other
The position which has an edge over the other becomes the position of Authority. And when that happen, the person in the position of authority
1) Feels an inherent need to control others
2) Feels an inherent need to exercise his position
3) Feels an inherent need to drive things according to own will.
The Desire to control things gives way to Aggression. This happens when one wants to control the behavior of others according to his own wishes.
1) Boss getting aggressive and humiliating employee by virtue of his authority
2) Customer yelling at customer care executives thinking that they are his slaves
3) Rich exploiting poor by virtue of their money power.
Authority brings aggression in people. Not only this, Aggression makes people assume authority which they don’t even have. The examples include
1) The brawls in parties etc.
2) Road rage
3) Daily acts of violence around us.
This is very common and happens commonly around us. The position of authority gets assumed automatically by people and they believe Aggression is the best way to exercise it.
In all scenarios People fail to realize that
1) They don’t own others
2) They have no right to humiliate and harass others
3) Everyone does their job and they have no right to influence their actions.
Such people just don’t recognize that
1) It is worst of their behavior comparable to Animals
2) They are mole in face of civilized society
3) They are not indispensible and when law prevails they have no place to hide.
Aggression assuming authority is worst outcome of anger. People need to be aware of the fact that such behavior makes them animal. And the person who loses is none other than the person who has been aggressive just because neither society welcomes them nor neither law spares them.
Everyone has the right to live in this world; no matter who they are and where they are form. Taking others for granted and doing things that humiliate and harass them is worst human behavior. It is in human nature to assume authority when they are aggressive and that can lead them to sever problems too. So lets control this behavior and make this world a better place to live in.
