Lets analyze both of them How many people do we think would like to work for the ipod and iphone maker Apple. The figure must be about thousands of times than their current workforce. Do everyone work for them, a plain No. Let us understand some dynamics first 1) Some companies are popular and relates well to the customer. Apple is one of them. 2) There are some companies which are very popular and relates very well to our background.
Let us say Apple is one of them. Does this mean Apple should hire many people just because they are ready to put their heart and soul? Again No because 1) These companies know the skill set they want and in what number. 2) These companies are very particular in keeping their employees happy. If you join them they want to make sure that you prosper and grow with them. This is from the employer’s angle. Now from individual standpoint some important facts are 1) It is not the company which is important. It is the kind of Job profile that matters. 2) If you don’t get to work on the job you like than no big brand can make you live or work happily The company name is just a fad. Remember Big companies good look in your resume but it is experience that matter most in long run. So
Always look for the work you want to do than to look for the company you would like to do it for.
If you still think that your dream company can get you that level of satisfaction than work hard and polish yourself more. Success in life is just around the corner.
