Finding True Purpose In Life

They say that every one, who is born, has got a purpose. There is some special task to be fulfilled by you and that is why you have been sent on the Earth. May be so! I do not contradict from these spiritual sentiments of yours or anyone else. But, in my view, our birth has nothing to do with our purpose in life. It does not mean that there is no use in living as you have born with no purpose. What I mean is that everything depends upon you. You are the reflection of what you do and what you do not. Certainly your external environment influences your thoughts and actions very much. Still a lot depends upon your own understanding of life and its requirements. You can always find a purpose in life, if you want to. Let’s see if I can help you on how to find your purpose in life.

Earlier, when there was not much crowed in the world, hence less or no competition, no worry, no fears, no care, no concern then individuals were used to give a considerable thought to this type of philosophical questions. They made a lot of efforts to find their purpose in life. Many would end up attempting on this and that, but a few could certainly get their way to life. They could successfully identify their purpose in life and stuck to it till life supported it. How could they find their purpose in life?

The person who is coming up with question is supposed to be sensible enough to understand its true meaning. This has nothing to do with seeking a way to worldly pleasures such as women or wealth, but something much above these nether sentiments. This is about finding out what you are really good at, what you really enjoy to do and what is that doing which you can forget every thing else. Some may frown over above explanation saying that they can not ignore the worldly affairs. True! Neither can I. And that is why most of us have lost our purpose in life for ever. Remember the school days or college years when we used to dream about the things that we loved most. Eccentric? May be! Someone would say ‘I would embark on an global excursion’, other would exclaim ‘I would love to make a set of wings for individuals’, and another one would have liked to explore the bottom of the sea. We all misunderstood them as whims and just shook out of our mind as we stepped into the (so-called) real world. We joined the race of pay rise and promotions, wife, children, 5 day working, weekend holidays, and so on. We set our scheduled round the rut very systematically like waking up in the morning, taking breakfast, running to office, returning home, watching television, going to bed, and repeat.

We suspended all those previous thoughts as whims. Those were not whims in fact. They were the hints of your purpose in life. Had you explored them a little more, you would certainly have got yours. You say – It was not that easy. I agree. You had to join the race of earning your livelihood. I agree. You had to take care of family, and your own old age fund. I agree. This is what I did, and what most of us did, and still do. But then why should we ask how to find purpose in life.

Life rewards those who dare. Stepping up on the way of your whims needed a lot of courage. Those who had it, have found their purpose in life and have earned a lot of money, too. This is what really happens. Once we decide to lead our life our own way, we put all our efforts and essence in doing that. Whatever we do by heart does attract name and fame both.

The mistake we committed was finding immediate solutions of upcoming requirements, and ended up life in doing what we did not really want to. Whenever we see a successful man in our dream field, we often take long breath and whisper – Wish I had got a chance!

If you agree, this is never too late. Just give yourself a good thought and find out what you really are made for. That is your purpose in life. Those who are at this decisive threshold of life should not repeat the mistake. Do what you really want to do. Do what you really enjoy to do. Do what you really love to do. Nothing can stop you from reaching the high of success if you have unwavering determination to stick to your patience. Money is the by product of this tread. Satisfaction and excellence is the real earning. This is how they found the purpose in life, those who have really found it.
