The magic about Great Ideas is that it can erupt in any form and exist but its worth is proved only through validation to make people believe in it. There can be ideas that relate to work, corporate, job, gifts, party, birthdays, Christmas, love, home, kids, theme, group or holidays but focus of my post is not only how you go about generating them but also how to make them rock. The first 9 steps essentially relates to generating them while the next 8 would involve believing in your own ideas, selling it to yourself before making a pitch to outside world. 5) Look at Negatives- Some negatives cannot be ignored or neutralized. The best way to look at negatives is to see how it can be turned into an advantage. If you got a negative then make sure your ideas need to have something that can make it sail through.
6) Go for Debate- In your mind go for debate. Push yourself to the wall and try to survive without life guards. No matter what, the battle should always go in your mind.
5) Think from Different Angles- Try to get different perspective and make assessment subjective to various scenarios. Rephrase what it would try to do and see the parts which are fragile.

7) Think of Possible Hurdles – Recognize possible hurdles and make plan to counter them. The hurdle can be in any form but you need to have a crack for them. It can be from people to processes that have potential to turn things down.
8) Find the Solution or Caveats- If there are hurdles than there need to be solution around it. This is your final strategy to tackle problems and issues related to ideas in your mind and it need to be robust.
9) Sell to Yourself- If it succeed in all above steps and you are completely over bought than it is ready for next steps. If anytime you feel there is an issue then its preferable to go over all above steps again.
10) Brainstorm it- Take it to the concerned group and brainstorm on various aspects. Make sure you gather all views. Never ignore what other has to say. Remember now many brains are peeling off your ideas into pieces. Enjoy it.
11) Be Positive about Questions and Concerns- You got to be positive about questions and concerns. If possible gather as much as you can through diverse set of people.
12) Never Hesitate to Reject- If you think your idea is getting liquidated and is losing relevance then do not hesitate to reject it. It is always better to kill a bad idea then nurturing it through rest of tenure.
13) Do a Final Check- Face the mirror and be honest with yourself. Once you have everything on table it always help to do a final check.
14) Declare the Winner- Time to declare the winner and feel confident about it. By this time enough thought has gone and your idea has tasted the test of time. Believe in yourself and in your idea.
15) Build your Case – Develop a story around your idea so that it look more convincing. Use your experience, feedback and history to build a presentable case around your idea.

17) Have the Courage to Stand by It- It is your baby and you need to sell it too. Once you have established a trust and belief in your idea there is no reason to run away from it. Have the courage to stand by it, take questions, resolve issues, and make others feel good about it.
Great Ideas are not discovered but they are made and that also through sheer hard work. Cross each step diligently and there is no reason things can go awry.
