Who are the happiest people in the world? That’s a tough question that I have decided to tackle in this article. If you look at al sorts of pols regarding happiness in the different countries in the world you will find out that in the recent years Danish people seem to be the happiest, while at the other side of the chart you would be most likely to find countries like Zimbabwe. But for this article I am not going to discuss happiness in regards to where you live, but more along the lines of what you do. The funniest and at times the easiest jobs have made it on my list. I believe that at want point or another each one of us has thought that they could do and that they should do the jobs that I am going to speak about. So, without further ado, here are the happiest people in the world according to me.

1.    Vine tasters. Come on, you have got to agree with me that vine tasters are some of the happiest people in the world. Just imagine going to work to get drunk. And that’s all you’re supposed to do. Ok, maybe I am exaggerating a bit, because they don’t really let you get drunk, you do have a limit to the amount of vine you can taste. But still, who wouldn’t want this job. But, as with every thing that seems to good to be true their is a catch: Vine tasters are selected from people who have specific genetic characteristics that involve a better perception of taste.

2.    Chocolate tasters. Probably something that every kid dreams to be when he or she grows up. Of course it is not all glamour, and you will eventually find that gaining weight is a reality that you have to deal with, but I am sue that you will all agree that the pros outweigh the cons. As with wine tasters getting the job is easy only if you have the ability to perceive more and subtler tastes than most people, which unfortunately you can’t really train but rather you are born with. As an added bonus, eating chocolate seems to have an effect on the release of endorphins in your brain so I can safely say, backed up by scientific facts, that chocolate tasters are some of the happiest people in the world.

3.    Professional golfers. Seems pretty straight forward, you sit outside on a freshly mowed lawn, you hit a little ball with a metal stick so that it goes in hole far away. Also, you have somebody to carry your clubs for you and, as to not get tired by walking too much, you have a little cart to drive you around the field. And let’s not forget the best part: the winnings are some of the biggest in any sport. Ok, I know it’s actually not that easy to hit that damn ball in the little hole hundreds of yards away but is sure beats working in a factory for eight hour shifts.  

4.    Formula 1 driver. Every little boys dream: fast cars, fame, money, beautiful women. It seems like it has it all, o, with the added bonus that one false move while you’re in the cockpit can cost you your life. I knew there was a catch.  

5.    Hotel Inspector. Definitely some of the happiest people in the world. You just have to go in a hotel, for free, and test all of their facilities. The best part of course is that you don’t pay but you actually get paid for sitting in a hotel.

6.    Travel writers. For me this is by far the best job in the world: writing for a travel guide. You get paid to travel all around the world to experience everything each place has to offer. It’s brilliant, and all you have to do in return is to write down you’re impressions. Of course, it could help if you have some writing skills.    

7.    Photographers. I know, I know, many of you will say that it is a hard job and it is not that easy to take great pictures, and you have to know everything about art, but still, at the base of it the fact remains that all you have to do is walk around and capture interesting events or scenery.  

All of the jobs above are dream jobs as far as I can tell. I am sure that if a survey was done amongst the people with these jobs, each one would say that they are the happiest people in the world, of course if their wife hadn’t just left them.
