Have You Ever Been In A True Relationship

Have you ever been in a true relationship? This is one question we ask others as well as ourselves very often. The definition of a true relationship is very vast and encompasses a lot of factors. It is nearly impossible to cover all of them in this article. However, we have tried to include a few of them which essentially make a true relationship.

Ego, Fear And Emotional Insecurities

The answer to the question have you ever been in a true relationship will make you realize that a true relationship does not have any space for ego hassles, fears or any kind of insecurities between the members in the relationship. As a relationship progresses, achievements both personal as well as professional give space for new ego hassles to be born out of nothing. Slowly small fights start and before one realizes, it snowballs into something which results in a break-up. The problem starts when we attach more importance to our accomplishments than our relationships. We fail to understand the true meaning of a relationship and give more priority to other materialistic goods. We fill our lives with so much of hatred that loving someone is the last thing on our minds. People in a true relationship should make an effort to be each other’s alter ego and understand the other person very well. So much so that nothing can shake them off their track of bonding and trust. Such people are truly connected and are seldom found to have arguments between them. They are so much in attuned to each other’s needs that they get things done before anything is even uttered.

Communication Is Of Utmost Importance

We are all human beings and hence need to be told what to feel or even how to react before we get accustomed to other’s likes and dislikes. Any relationship, be it with humans or animals or even birds needs some form of communication to stay alive. Keeping yourself cut off from the other person or keeping your feeling bottled inside you is not going to serve any purpose. You have to be brave enough to face your own feeling and express it with tact. Be it anger, humor, love, depression etc; you have to open up and tell the other person clearly. Your partner will not know your feeling by magic. Only this will help the other person in the relationship to understand you better. This is what leads to a true relationship. Keeping your thoughts and the way you feel only to yourself will build negativity in you and a whole lot of confusion and mistrust in the other person’s mind. Sometimes we do not communicate and express ourselves for the fear of unwanted backlash of our partner. But one must understand that not revealing information is also another form of lying.

Move On Before It Is Too Late

All of us are good human beings. But this fact does not alter the truth that some people are not meant to be together. Just because you both are in a relationship, you don’t have to break it off. But sometimes the circumstances are such that no matter how hard you try, things do not work out. This leads to frustrations and bottled up fury. Not everyone can give a ‘yes’ as an answer to have you ever been in a true relationship. But surely all of us try as much as we can to make our relationships a true one. Do not feel bad if you have had a past imperfect relationship. All of us are destined for some happiness. May be fate has something better for us. Move out of the relationship. You might cause a lot of hurt but in the end, it will be good for everyone around you.

Accept your partner as he or she is. Try to bring out good factors in him or her. You cannot change a person, so do not even try to do so. The question have you ever been in a true relationship is something that only you or your partner can answer. Every relationship can become a true relation only if both the partners are willing to iron out their differences and work towards making their bonds perfect.
