Healthy Diet And Healthy Living


Healthy living is an all encompassing concept about the way we live and cherish our life, and a healthy diet is nothing but one most important component of the healthy living. In short, healthy diet & healthy living are the two faces of the same coin; if one is absent, then the other is lost. So a judicious mix of diet and habits, if sustained over one’s lifetime, will bring happiness into your life and can also be a good example for other to emulate. Here are some healthy ways to live; first.

 

·        Sleep is an important part of one’s life; 7 hours minimum is what most doctors will recommend; that is approximately one third of your life. During the time you sleep your body gets the opportunity to repair your body’s organs. The result of deprivation often leads to memory loss, lowered metabolism rate and loss of appetite, all which cumulatively endangers your health substantially.

·        Maintaining a routine is important; for exercise, sleep, family, work, socializing, entertainment etc. The human body has an extraordinarily tuned clock and if it fails to get the right input in right quantity than it gets upset and that is something you may not want to happen. Inconsistent habits results in poor health and is often the most cited reason for many illnesses. So apportion the limited time you have for each of your activities, you will sooner or later get the benefits; have no doubt about that.

·        Healthy diet & healthy living needs to be supplemented with exercises. Get at least 45 minutes of it every day. Jogging, brisk walking, free exercise, weight training, aerobics; simply any physical activity should produce good results. A healthy body is a prelude to a healthy living, don’t forget. Lack of exercise is often the cause for life crippling diseases like heart attacks, arthritis etc.

·        Build a healthy attitude toward everyone; at your work, family, relatives, and society, and generally in public. Be always optimistic, hopeful, patient, and polite and kind toward all and you can be sure of getting it back in kind. A pleasing personality is often also a person who has a healthy diet and healthy living habits. Positive attitude also means a positive health; great combination really, that everyone will fall for. Remember that negative attitudes are often the cause for rejection, however healthy you may be.

 

Now here is the diet part of healthy diet & healthy living styles. Diet is just as important as your lifestyle itself. Having the right food commensurate with your age and fitness is important.

 

·        Have plenty of water; 3 liters or more if you can manage. Your skin, blood, heart and other organs need plenty of it, and taking plenty of it ensures that you do not get constipation, the root cause for most illnesses like colon cancer for example. Poor water intake leads to poor skin tones, obnoxious body odor, indigestion and poor mineral absorption. If you are one of those kind out in the field for most part of your day, then water is the thing for you; so make sure you get plenty of it.

·        Say good bye to packed and canned food, in one words junk foods. Eat fresh home cooked food made from fiber rich wholesome cereals with appropriate fats included in right quantity. Food without fat is just as unhealthy as those are high; the fat in your food is important for digestion, without which, much of the process in your stomach and intestines cannot just happen. Do not discount fat as unwanted and go on crash diets; they don’t work and are harmful as well. A healthy diet combined all elements in proper amount.

·        Keep medication to the minimum along with a healthy diet and healthy living habit. Medication should be always under medical guidance. Rampant use of drugs for sleep disorders especially are addicting, and over a period of time leads to dependency and side effects. Likewise, avoid diet pills, you will never benefit from their use because most of it are chemicals that makes you insensitive to appetite. If you persist with their use you may be depriving your body off the nutrients from wholesome food contains. Use organically grown vegetables as they are free from the harmful pesticides that are so common these days.

·        Raw vegetables and fresh fruits are important for your healthy diet and healthy living. Include a couple of them between your meals rather than after. Give preference to whole fruits along with the fiber rather than juice, that way you can avoid the between meals binge that causes fattening in most of use. Carrying excess fat in your body can be life threatening and stigmatic in social context as well.

 

Healthy diet & healthy living are two inseparable concepts; follow the diet as closely as your living style and reap the rich benefits that will accrue to you.
