How Not to Hate any Person
There are many things we hate in our life. It can be some food, restaurant or any place which has given us a bad experience. This sometimes goes for the people around us too. You might not like your colleague just because he has some characteristics or some behavior which fails to impress you. Your mind goes in a zone which makes you feel uncomfortable and then slowly it recovers to react in a certain way. The reaction can be in the form of some bad words or completely ignoring the other person. These things have an impact not only on your productivity but also on Job Growth.
The situation becomes very difficult if the person work with you. This is the closest case which can happen and has a potential to disturb you. I have seen scores of people losing their cool because of small issue. They tend to forget their work and all their energy then gets focused on winning the hatred war. While something’s cannot be controlled but a lot can be done just to ensure that you remain in best of spirits and do the right thing.
The first one that disturbs you is characteristics. Just because you have a bad experience with a person of some race, religion, hairstyle, way of talking etc it does not mean that every person would be same. This at times is harmful because you tend to decide from pre-conceived notions.

The second and most important is behavior. It generally happens that we hate a certain behavior but the end result is that we start to hate the person completely. Human beings have the ability to focus too much on one bad behavior that they tend to forget whole good things done to them. I believe it is very important to realize that every person in the world have shortcoming and no one is perfect. However we always tend to look for qualities that we like. If that does not suit us it would lead to hatred creeping in our mind. I have seen good friends fighting over trivial things and completely ignoring all those good days of their friendship. The root cause has always been act which was result of the behavior. I think it is important for us to understand that each person has some behavior which at times is difficult but not impossible to change. It is advisable to work with the persona through honest feedback and remain ready to get the feedback too. People don’t realize at times what they have done and it always better to state clearly what you didn’t liked and what behavior is expected for things to be fine. Things won’t change till the time you talk. If you don’t talk then scope of personal development is limited. Hence it is important that for High Productivity and a good Job Growth you should take this first step.
