How To Enjoy Life To The Max
It seems as more and more people today don’t know how to enjoy life. Grant you, there are more and more problems that we face in these hectic times we live in, but I believe that everybody can still be able to enjoy life no matter what. I believe that the only duty we have during our lifetimes is to try to be happy, the rest are all secondary. I think there can be no excuse to giving up on this soul responsibility that we have towards ourselves. I know there can’t be a sure recipe that can teach you how to enjoy life, but I will attempt to give you some tips that I found useful.
1. Enjoy the little things. People nowadays seem to have a real problem when it comes to enjoying the little things. They consider it a waste of time, something that is unproductive and inefficient, but they don’t take into consideration the psychological benefits that can arise from such things as: having a one hour breakfast without any rush, enjoying the food thoroughly; going for a walk in the rain, sitting in the park and looking at the birds. You need to be able to enjoy the little things if you are going to remain sane in this hi-speed rollercoaster they call life.
2. Meditate. I can’t stress this enough how much this will help you if you are trying to learn how to enjoy your life. Just take twenty minutes of from whatever you are doing a day and close your eyes, clear your mind and meditate. This will help you see thing thru a new perspective, and will help you relieve stress and do things more calmly.
3. Go somewhere new every week. I don’t mean big plans with extravagant holydays. I am talking about getting out of a rut and finding new places. For example, I will bet you almost anything hat you haven’t seen every part, every park in the city you live in. Well make a habit of visiting a new place each week. Start with the parts of the city you haven’t seen, and then go for the neighboring villages.
4. Read a book each week. This may not sound like something everybody might enjoy or will be able to do, but I think that it is very important for people to have a sense of accomplishment in order to understand how to enjoy life. So, getting a book and trying to read it in a week will fill that void. You will always have that accomplished if nothing else in that week, reading the book. It will also help you get away from the mundane problems if you immerse yourself completely in a good book.
5. Talk to people. I have found that more and more people become very lonely because they don’t know how to communicate with each other. By talking to people I mean face to face, and not in front of the computer, because that won’t solve anything, it will just build on your anxiety to really talk to people. Go out, and chat with your friends about anything and everything. Don’t be afraid to tell any sort of story even if it turns out not to be funny. The important thing is communication.
6. Exercise. You have no idea how much this will help you in learning how to enjoy life. Do some sports, outdoors preferably, but indoors is fine as well. You will immediately get a boost of endorphins in your body that will make you feel good. And on the long term you will definitely feel better about yourself as well.
7. Find a job you love. This might be one of the most important tips I could give you for learning how to enjoy your life. Remember that you will inevitably have to spend a lot of time out of your life at work. So if you spend it doing something you hate, you will definitely be a gloomy person. Find something that you love doing and become as good as you can possibly be, and sooner or later you will find a job in that field.

I think that there is no universal recipe that can teach you how to enjoy life, but the ideas expressed in the paragraphs above have been very useful for me.
