We live in the world which is full of opportunities. There is something which crops up everyday around us. Some people have uncanny habit of realizing and squeezing on them while others believe that things would be presented to them. There is no short cut to success in job and you need a diehard attitude to put yourself in every test. If you think your job is monotonous than you need to think again. Every process has a scope of improvement and every field has its own set of opportunities.

If you think that your growth is stagnant than you need to try this. Every time a work comes, no matter how big or small, it is you who need to represent yourself. Don’t take any work as big or small. If a work is coming to your team there is a very much probability that your manager is looking for someone who would help him to complete the job. Managers always like people who volunteer themselves and show the rush of blood. He would not like to see blank faces and team members counting their work wrt to allotted hours.

“I will do it” has a lot of magic stored in it. It has the ability to take tension off from your manager head and replace it by all the good feelings about you. You need to be your managers best and these habits have the potential to do it in just few assignments.

Do it and your manager will himself get concerned about the work he keeps on assigning to you. The simple motive of this strategy is that your manager becomes so much dependent on you that he feels very uncomfortable in your absence.

You must now be concerned how you would handle so much work on top of what gets assigned to you. This is where you need to work hard initially and things will get smoothen till the time you reach your third or fourth assignment. The managers are aware of the kind of work assigned to their team members and would try to help manage their capacity.

The best advantage of this approach is that there is very high probability that you would get new work in future or would get promoted above your peers because of your wide experience. You can be recommended for new group or team just because you have cracked different solutions in the past.

This approach has helped me in my career. Times when other started to talk about their problems in front of their managers, I had volunteered myself for tough jobs. Difficulties are everywhere but then if you know how to manage then you would go far. I believe things can be managed and one should experiment a lot about them. You would fail too but if you are energetic and positive then you would find other people standing beside you.
