How to Find Tactical Solutions to Problems Deep Within Your Mind
Problems are not important than the way we approach the solution. Over all these years our mind has been trained to culminate the thoughts based on factors which are beyond our control. Our thoughts are largely influenced by host of social, demographic and other related factors. However human beings do have a control in terms of prioritization of selective thoughts over others. Our approach relates to the experience we have in the past and selection to large extent depends upon the bias developed over the period of time. These thoughts exercise a control on our body which in turn results into specific actions taken by us. The nature of the person largely depends upon the way these thoughts are processed and resultant action is being taken.
An example on this can be understood by concept of role models we have in our life. These are the people whom we admire the most and even try to emulate. David Beckham is a great player and is a role model of many people. We love not only to watch him but also like to read more about him. What strikes us most is his personality that makes him stand apart from other players. But behind this success there is years of training that has gone into building the winning attitude. From the childhood Beckham has attuned his thoughts only towards scoring a goal and winning. With each failure he has developed a mindset of working hard to overcome all obstacles. In all those years his thought process got translated into a confident body language. His action is demonstrated from his play in the field where he seems to be unstoppable. His sportsman spirit is an attitude which gets displayed through his action. He has the ability to fight till the last second.

In another case we met a candidate who was out of college for more than 8 months. Over all these months he tried hard to get the job but could not succeed. The resultant effect was in his attitude, body language and actions. He had become so pessimistic that no amount of counseling had helped him from his parents. When he talked to us we heard him patiently and asked him to write down his thoughts on piece of paper. Below are some points which he wrote
• My education is not from good institute and my numbers are no so great. This is main reason I don’t get an interview call
• Whatever I had studied till now does not fit as per job requirement and there is no chance that I will get through.
• Even if a get a call my personality is not so good. The other candidates look and talk more smartly than me
• I could not answer question smartly and stammer most of time. This is contrary to fluent flow I had in the past
• Most important from the start I know that I won’t succeed. This gets proved every time I walk out.
We knew from start that if we try to talk more it won’t help. We knew we had to target his thoughts in order to influence his body language and his actions. So the process started and we worked on everything from his resume to his eye movement. He was trained to be selective about the thoughts and suppress those which used to demoralize him. The result showed from the fourth Interview. The main change that we could see was
• He was confident about his resume. He know exactly what was written and how it could help the business
• He could relate how his studies in past was perfect fit for the job
• There was tremendous change in the way he used to dress up. His body language was changed and his positive thoughts had started to reflect in his conduct
• He was well prepared for interview and never stammered while talking.
• All through the process he knew he will be the winner.
The major change was in his thought process. Rather than staying away like in past he used to eagerly wait for his turn. With each interview he learned something and applied the approach in the next. His mind was always thinking of success. He knew what to think and how to kill negative thoughts. The positive thought was translating into a confident body language which in turn was showing in the actions.

Thoughts have the ability to get synchronized the way we tone our muscle through exercises. While we invest a lot of time in almost everything, personality development is largely ignored. This is the reason that our fate gets decided by host of factors that has got sneaked unconsciously into our mind. Thoughts live in a comfort zone just like human beings and needs to be woken up. Even if you don’t plan to get trained (through books, coaching) I would still urge all to repeat two things to yourself when you plan to quit a situation. Start with step 1 below once and then repeat step 2 till you get result. Do not think of anything else and stay focused.
1) At max I won’t win. But then anyway I won’t win if I don’t try. To get something I have to take first step. So lets try because I have nothing to lose.
2) I cannot quit till the time I do it. I need to do it. I CAN DO IT.
