How To Plan For Your Wedding

Your wedding day is the most memorable day of your life and having so much importance is what makes planning for this day very difficult. There is no definite rule book on how to plan your wedding but there is definitely some guideline for this very special day. I have attended so many weddings but attending wedding and planning a wedding is like North Pole and South Pole. I can say this because I recently saw one of my cousins getting married and the load of work that a wedding requires. Because it was a family member’s wedding I was involved with most of the work and this experience was all new to me. You can say I was always on edge during the whole month. Yes, if cousin’s wedding can be so laborious then think about what the bride/groom has to go through! Since I recently experienced the whole wedding planning closely, I thought it was a good time to share with all of you the experience of how to plan wedding.

·        Make a checklist: Making a checklist is a must. We all make checklists while planning for party or any events at home but making checklist for your wedding needs more time than any checklist you have ever made. You need to divide your checklists into categories. For example- checklist for the wedding hall, checklist for food, checklist for guests and so on. It would be better if you divide these checklists to different persons because you certainly cannot control everything and if one person tries to handle everything in the wedding then it is definitely going to be a disaster! If one of your cousins have good taste in food then give him/her that responsibility of food for the ceremony. The family member who has a good relationship with everyone should be in charge of the guests. Make your checklists and then distribute it among your family members and be sure to check on them from time to time so that you have an idea of what’s going on around you.

·        It’s time for your BFF to step-up! I guess we all have a friend on whom we can rely on completely when it comes to getting things done and in weddings- it is our best friends whom we rely on the most. So, include your best friend in everything you do for your wedding because they work as your support system in this life changing process of yours. I can say this with confident because I have seen how much my cousin’s friends helped her in planning her wedding. One of her best friends live in another country now but that did not stop her from supporting my cousin. She works in a beauty salon and she sent some amazing beauty products for my cousin and also gave her tips on how to blend eye colors to make a unique eye shadow to put on her wedding day. If you are going crazy on how to plan for your wedding then I say you should call your BFFs now! They surely work as medicine.

·        Do not rush into anything: I know that planning for wedding needs a lot of multitasking but you should not rush in to anything to finish works early. Give your full focus to things that needs to be finished earlier and then move to the next work.

·        Take advice from newly married people: Those who have recently had their wedding ceremony are in the best position to give you suggestions about how to plan for your wedding. They can give you information on new caterers or decorators and also give you tips on what can go wrong in a wedding ceremony.

·        Take control: It is your wedding so you should be the one in charge. Do not be a push over. Take control of your wedding plan and make sure that everything is going on schedule to make your wedding the best day of your life. You should get your wedding dress and jewelries ready at least 1 week before your wedding so that if anything needs to be fixed can be fixed before the wedding day. Do not wait for other people to do your work. It is your wedding and it is the time for you to be active.

Lastly, what I would recommend you is to have fun while you plan for your wedding. Wedding is the most special day of your life and you would be able to enjoy it if you plan it accordingly. Relax and take your time in the planning process. Keep it simple and plan things that you can arrange otherwise the process becomes complex and that is when people lose control. So, my last advice on how to plan your wedding is-keep it simple and enjoy!
