There is no one line answers of how to study English. You can study English in many ways. However, some guidelines and tips can help you to choose some effective ways of studying English. You have to choose the way which works for your most successfully.

You can follow some warm up activities in order to study English effectively. Often students find studying English very boring and that is why they tend to avoid this subject. It is true that studying English in not like studying mathematics or science and can be monotonous sometime. That is why you need to find out some ways that will make your English studying more interesting and effective. Here are some tips on how to study English:

·        Before studying English try to activate your vocabulary. For example, if you are going to study English on a topic that related to a trip then take some time and think about the last trip you had and try to make a brief paragraph on your mind. This will activate your vocabulary and will help you to learn faster, like choosing an appropriate word for an appropriate situation. for instance, may be you used a word for describing something about your trip, but when you start studying about the trip from your book you would find they describe it by using some new words and thus you can learn them more quickly and efficiently.

·        Whenever you are going to study English, try to start studying by typing a paragraph on random topic of your interest. It can be about your day, or about your friends, or about your new neighbor. This typing paragraph actually activates the kinetic part of your brain and improves your learning capability a lot. Not only that if you continue writing on a regular basis it will improve your writing capability and at the same time will enrich you vocabulary.

·        A very important tip on how to study English is- you should study English on a regular basis. In spite of studying this subject two hours in a week, try to study 30 minutes every day. This is because short and balanced practice is way better than long period irregular practice in case of learning English. When you will start studying on a regular basis you will find that learning becomes handier and it will not seem as much boring as it seemed before.

·        If you find studying English very monotonous you can go for group study. May be some of your friends find studying English interesting. You can join them for completing your exercises or for learning the new topics. Group study always helps to learn effectively as one member of the group can backup another member’s drawback and thus make the learning more effectual and interesting. Not only that while studying on a group you can also arrange some word games or any other English language related games that will help you learning by means of entertainment. Thus your studying English would be more interesting.

·        Try to use different techniques and methods for your English learning. For example, if you are learning new vocabularies you can make some flashcards or a word map to learn them instead of learning them from the book. Also type the new words at least five to ten times so that you brain get familiar with the word very quickly. 

·        One of the very important suggestion on how to study English is that try to study English by choosing a topic of your interest. This will encourage and motivate you on learning as you are studying about something that you find interesting.

If English is your first language then studying English will not be very difficult for you. But if you are going to study English as a second language or as a foreign language then you will face some difficulties at the beginning. Learning new language is not very easy. But if you keep on studying on a regular basis you will face fewer problems eventually. In spite of the conventional books, you can take the assistance of various other methods for learning English because if you can learn the language properly first, studying the language will be much easier. For that you can read English story books. If you do not understand the meaning of any word then you can take the help of the dictionary to learn the meaning of that new word. Watching English movies also help a lot to understand and learn the language. So try all these to learn the most widely used language of the world.
