Human Perception as Tool for Excellence

19 May 2009 One Comment

Human Perception as a tool for excellence is more about its wise use. Human perception is mix of many factors which we develop over all these years through many of our experiences. These experiences sharpen our senses and make our perception more solid with each passing day. Consciously or unconsciously our behavior gets largely governed by the perception we develop for the outside world. At times it is very easy to develop the perception but at other times we had to go through very painful experiences in order to build a perception of the people or situation. Though much of this gets developed unconsciously the effort to get rid of perception at times becomes futile.

Human Perception as tool for excellence comes into picture when we use the perception developed through our own or others experiences wisely and with much care. However when this relates to developing our perception based on others feedback we generally fail. Most of time perception we develop is when we hear or believe in something experienced by others and then start to believe in it without putting our check and balances. This is the major reason why these perceptions gets converted into the belief and transcend any boundaries of logical reasoning.

The focus of this post is on how you can avoid building your own perception based on others experiences. Human Perception developed to make the best us of any feedback or situation is essence of growth and should be integral part of your behavior.

So when you want to approach someone you don’t know you

1)    Try to know more about him through his background

2)    Try to ask people who already know him

3)    Try to gather more information from online media

Human Perception

Human Perception

When you essentially do that, you develop a Perception

1)    You develop Perception based on his Background

2)    You develop Perception based on what others has to say

3)    You develop Perception based on what is written about him.

You essentially arm yourself with the information with the hope that

1)    You approach would be bang on target

2)    Your check and balances would make sure you don’t fail

3)    With your prior experiences you would develop a killer approach.

On other hand you can also decide even before approaching the person

1)    The background makes you either see him below or above your standards

2)    The feedback from others makes you feel negative about the person

3)    What you read makes you develop a negative view.

In both the cases there are chances that either you develop a Prejudice or become biased about your approach

Problem comes when based on above

1)    You experience turns out to be different

2)    You don’t even make a move

Yes these situations are very tricky and need to be handled carefully. Human Perception is handled carefully gives you an ability to have an extra advantage.

By the way

1)    Would you like a new car or a second hand car

2)    New clothes or second hand clothes

3)    Fresh food or day old food.

If your preference is fresh or new than why you build a Perception based on second hand information.

Why Not build a Perception Based on your own experience

1)    Use the person background as an information

2)    Use the feedback from People as information

3)    Use what you read about person as Information.

Continued Below.........

Beauty Lies in eliminating all prejudices based on feedback based perception and try something on your own based on information

1)    Go and meet the person

2)    Use the information to play with his mind

3)    Use the information to conquer

Never base your perception on what other say because

1)    When you meet the person you are biased

2)    You don’t use your mind but someone else mind to evaluate the person

3)    You don’t win because you have already lost

Use the information as Background Music and Sing your own song.

Be skeptical when you hear something negative about the person. Don’t idolize a person when you hear a positive feedback, give that person an opportunity to prove that.

Try it

    Hi Mystic Madness,

I like your idea for singing your own song. What is it you do to keep free from the background data that interrupts our every vision, sound, and experience?

Enjoy life. Be clear. Be courageous.
