I bet all women are wondering what the strategies that men apply when it comes to dating are. Basically they are searching for the answer to the question: How do men date? Well there is no simple answer to that question but there are some general rules that seem to apply to most men. Again, it doesn’t mean that all men should be treated as the same general stereotype. All men have their own ways, regarding dating, but I have summarized bellow some of the basic things that define how men date. So, all you women prepare to take notes, and decide how to use this information to get a better understanding of men and of what their intentions are:

·        Men consider dating to be more or less, a numbers game. They believe that they should date as many women as possible in order to make an informed decision when it comes to the one they marry.  This may seem very cynical but men tend to quantify everything into facts. So they go on a date, make a list in their head of pros and cons, compare to other dating experiences, and if they feel they haven’t gotten the full picture in the first date, they will want another. If not, they will move on and put this experience in the database for further reference.

·        Men don’t think to far ahead in a relationship. Women seem to always wonder about where the relationship is going. Men are more relaxed, and stick to the principle that they just want to have fun. Of course they don’t have to worry about their biological clock or of the social pressures generally imposed on women when it comes to marriage.

·        Men don’t like to talk about their feelings or overanalyze the relationship. This is something that most women do. If you are wondering how to date like a man this is one of the firs steps. Stop being worried and taking any action that your partner does, to have a hidden meaning. Men are pretty simple; giving out subtle signals about the state of the relationship isn’t something they normally do. So stop looking into everything like it has a hidden meaning because you will just drive yourself crazy.

·        Men want to be in control. They want to be able to take the initiative and make plans. It’s just the way the male ego works. Men have to feel like they are in charge; even if they aren’t otherwise they will want to get out of the relationship

·        Men don’t like to change for anybody. The best thing to do if you really like a guy is to let him know that you like him the way he is and you wouldn’t change anything. Men really need to be reassured constantly that they are accepted for who they are, even if they don’t let you know it.

·        Men are good at setting boundaries. They usually know what they will and won’t do in a relationship and thy will be pretty adamant about it so trying to change their minds about something isn’t always a good idea.

·        Men don’t like women who nag them. They are very sensitive about this issue and when they feel they are being nagged, they will respond very badly to it.

·        Men don’t like women who are to needy or fixated. Usually if a woman is single for a long time, she will get fixated on the first guy who shows any interest. Men don’t really like all that attention that transforms into neediness. Men enjoy the chase, so showing all your cards to soon may be a turn off. Even if a woman is fixated, she can hide it because men are very bad at reading women.

·        Men are very opinionated about everything. Men tend to have opinions about everything, so let them tell you everything they think. They will appreciate the fact that you listen to them, even though you aren’t interested.

It’s hard to define exactly how men date, but these are a few of the general actions they take. They will always seem like they are very determined and bossy and that nothing can affect them, but in reality they are always looking for reassurance and support from the women in their lives. Also they are very sensitive to what their partner says to them. Furthermore they don’t know how to hide their true feelings. Men are much easier to read than women, so be on the look out, and you will know what makes your guy tick.

Remember, these are not all the possible answers to the question how to date like man, but it’s a start. Make your own observations and your own list and you will be well on your way in understanding how a man thinks.
