Natural Remedies

One of the growing businesses that have appeared during these last years has been that of natural remedies. With scientists telling us that most of the food we eat is actually bad for us because of the high level of preservatives, people are orientating towards a healthier lifestyle. Our hectic modern life is affecting our health, stress, fast-food, and pollution being just some of the causes. One of the trends that these health concerns have launched is that of natural remedies. These revolve around remedies that you can make yourself at home from different recipes based on plants. Here are some of my favorites:

1.   Garlic For Curing Acne: Acne is a problem that almost all adolescents have to go thru. And we all know that at that age, looks are extremely important for ones self-esteem, so it seems like every cosmetic company is creating more and more expensive treatments in order to solve this problem. If you are tired of spending huge amounts of money for acne treatments and want to try a cheap natural remedy than garlic may be the answer. If you rub garlic on your acne every day and also follow up this treatment by eating three raw garlic seeds a day for a month, than your acne should subside. If you have sensitive skin you may consider making a paste out of garlic and yogurt, which moisturizes the skin without making it oily. Garlic is known for treating acne and other skin sores problems. Because it contains a natural antibiotic called Allicin. You may be thinking, “Ok, I got rid of my acne but now I stink”. Well you need to apply this treatment only once a day, so you can do it at night, and a thorough shower in the morning should take care of any smell.

2.   Diarrhea Treatments: Diarrhea is one of the most common digestive problems in the world. Its symptoms are a high frequency of watery stools. This is a problem that occurs when the small intestine doesn’t absorb water or excretes it in excess. The lower intestine can’t absorb a lot of water so the normal formation of feces is disturbed. Under normal conditions, it is no cause for alarm, but if persistent or combined with vomiting it can lead to dehydration, because of the big loss of bodily fluids. There are many natural remedies that fight diarrhea, but some of the most effective are carrot soup and sesame seeds. Carrot soup is excellent because it prevents dehydration and vomiting, and allays intestinal inflammation, as well as supplying the body with sodium, potassium, phosphorus, sulfur, magnesium, calcium and pectin. It also keeps in check harmful bacteria growing in your intestines. Making a carrot soup isn’t very hard, you just have to boil around half a kilo of carrots, strain them and add enough boiled water to make a liter of soup. All you need to do is add salt and you have a great natural remedy for diarrhea. Another effective natural remedy for this condition is sesame seeds. You should roast about three table spoons of seeds and than grind them up into a powder which you than mix with a tablespoon of butter. Eat a third of this mass three times a day with goat’s milk for six days, and even the most severe diarrhea should be cured.

3.   Apple Cider Remedy For Moles: Moles appear normally on the human body. They can have different shapes and colors but generally they are round or oval and usually brown or black. Some may be raised from the skin and can be very unsightly. That is why most people want to get rid of them. A medical procedure is the best way to do it but it can leave small scars, so you may also consider alternative natural remedies. For example apple cider or sour apples contain a high amount of potassium which is an excellent remedy for the removal of moles. You can try adding a spoonful of apple cider to your diet every day, or extracting the juice from sour apples and applying it directly on the mole. After a few days you may see the mole thinning, and eventually fading away.

You must remember that you should never use natural remedies instead of traditional medicine, without checking with your doctor first. And also, these remedies don’t work for everybody the same, so don’t get discouraged if some of them don’t work for you. Having said that, many natural remedies are the basis for modern drugs, so if you want to bypass the middle man, you can give natural remedies a try. I hope my advice can be useful and that these natural remedies do the trick for you.
