Never Get Too Old

5 February 2010 No Comment

The philosophy that circles around the vary logic of never get too old is not that of your age but of attitude. Ask yourself a question – How many days do you think average healthy human beings live? and try to answer it in 5 seconds. Maximum people thought this figure to be between 80,000 days to 2,00,000 days. If you take the average age to be around 65 years the answer comes out to be approximately 24,000. Yes, it is close to twenty four thousand days only and there are chances that you might have lived half of it already. You must be surprised but this is what we have all in our life.

Years are big; even 10 years look like big time but when it come to 3650 days instead of 10 years then people do get serious about this subject. Unfortunately it is all about perception that we would never get too old and the truth always remains hidden in one form or other. The thought that always follow after this revelation is – “wow- I have so less days to live now”. Well, this is the truth and you need to chew it fast. The other way to look at it is that you still have so many days left to do things that your heart desire. Its all about you and your attitude towards life that can decide the next steps after you think about it seriously.

All these days we have spent our life thinking that there would always be another day to greet us and we would never get too old. The count seemed so huge that it never bothered us. And this is the reason that

1) Most of our days got wasted due to our laziness

2) Most of our days got wasted due to tension and stress

2) Most of the days got wasted due to hatred and ill will.

And Life made us so busy that

1) We run aimlessly after materialistic things

2) We compromised on many things that our heart always wanted to do

3) Our priorities always got driven by choices that were not always ours.

On Top of it when times comes for us to enjoy things in life

1) We think we are too old

2) We think that it is for young people

3) We think that it does not suits us

In short we Think that we have got too old.

How old is too old? You would have answer to it depending what kind of excuse you have to skip what your heart desire

1) You won’t enjoy nightlife thinking it to be for teenagers

2)You wont indulge in adventure sports thinking it for the physically fit young people

3) You wont opt for more education thinking your age has gone.

But Why don’t you remember that you only have 24,000 days to live and many have already passed.

If life is with you for only few thousand days then why not enjoy and do things that your heart really wanted to do

1) Why not enjoy life with friends and family

2) Why not opt for music classes or higher studies that you had always wanted to do

3) Why not pamper yourself with good clothes and cosmetics that you have always thought are not for you.

The idea here is never think that you are old for anything.

1) It is only in your mind

2) It is only your thinking

3) It is only your perception.

Give a damn to what world think. Think what you think of yourself.

And if your mind says that you are too old for something.

Tell your mind if not today then when? You not gonna get young again.

Don’t sacrifice you desire under the alibi of being old. Go live it through.
