Office Politics has always been looked upon with much hatred. It pops up in every discussion we have in one form or the other. No matter in which position you are, if you are currently working than this is an integral part of your job. Many companies who claim they provide cleaner and sane environment is doing nothing but fooling themselves. People who vouch against it are at times found to be the ones who practice it most. Favoritism, Prioritization etc are yet another resultant forms that are nothing but outcome of neat politics. No matter how much one think that it does not exists, the reality is it does and is unavoidable. There are people who survive because of this and there are people who have flourished and prospered because of this. No matter how good you are, sometimes your destiny gets decided by the skill you posses and attitude to play the right game. Office Politics can be as bad as you might think it to be, but at same time if used through proper mechanism it can be rewarding for self and company too.

 

I have always seen people talking and highlighting Office Politics in a very bad and discriminating manner. Everyone has his own story to tell with interpretations and conclusions which somehow only they can understand. Office Politics becomes so much problem for some people that it takes toll on their peace of mind and their jobs too. Nevertheless the tension persists and it has direct impact on the stress level of individuals.

 

 Normally you would find people affected by it

1)     Cribbing about the environment and how affected they are

2)     How they could not work properly or tough time they are having

3)     How it has impacted their salaries and promotions

 

Always, it is someone who has to be blamed.

 

Take another scenario

1)     Whole of world is affected by Terrorism

2)     Whole of world is affected by Crime

3)     Whole of world is affected by Hatred

 

 

What you or anyone has done about it?

1)     Nothing

2)     They are here to stay

3)     You might see it in different forms

 

 

And God Forbid, If ever you are about to become one of its victim,

What you would do?

1)     Ask for help

2)     Would wait for someone to help you

3)     Would leave it to the hands of authorities who according to you owns it.

 

Here lies the Problem.

1)     People Never think of facing it Head-On

2)     They always depend on others for help

3)     They always think that someone would come from somewhere to help them.

 

 

Same is the case with Office Politics

1)     You crib about it as if someone would listen to you

2)     You crib about it that someone would find its solution

3)     You crib about it that someone would being some justice

 

 

Result = Nothing Happens and you become a victim

 

You would

1)     Keep on cribbing

2)     Keep on praying

3)     Or someday leave after frustration

 

This Story Repeats

1)     In company A

2)     In company B

3)     In company C

 

 

You would never understand

1)     That these things are here to stay

2)     It is you who is being victimized

3)     It is you who has to find a solution.

 

So what choices you have or

1)     Let it be the way it is, Or

2)     Stage a Fight Back

 

 

Yes, It is You who has to find the solution and the solution is “Play The Game”.

 

Play The Game

1)     Fairly

2)     Squarely

3)     With or Without Rules

 

Become

1)     Unstoppable

2)     Dreaded

3)     Vicious

Play the Office Politics.

1)     If you have to live in water than be like crocodile

2)     If you have to be on land than be like a tiger

3)     If you have to be on Air than be like Harpy Eagle

 

There is no use of cribbing or feeling sorry for yourself. Pick up the weapons and be prepared for it. Involve yourself and don’t regret

 

There are things in life which

1)     You are forced into

2)     Consequences make you do it

3)     You have to do for survival

 

 

The world lives on the principal of “Survival of the Fittest”.

 

Are you the One? If not than

1)     Acquire this skill

2)     Master this skill

3)     Make best use of it

 

 

Victory should prevail, and be committed to achieve it
