Globalization is the product of modernization, development marked with inventions and human discoveries. The word globalization has no concrete definition so don’t hold your breath waiting for one. It is among words that are better described than completely defined and so in an attempt to writing the positive effects of globalization issues, a detailed description of the term will be rendered to provide concise understanding of the key terms. Man was made to be a thinking being – that is no surprising been made in the image of God and all. In other to execute the divine order which is to: multiply, control and replenish the earth, man was given the divine enablement combined with the power of authority to carry out this commandment and the end result – globalization. In the world today, there is always a two side to a coin or more scientifically speaking, opposite and negative sides example: hate and love, big and small, matter and anti-matter, positive and negative etc. So no matter how good or bad a thing is, there will always be the other side, which is why something good like globalization has a negative and positive side. In this article, more attention will be directed towards the positive effects of globalization.

 

What exactly is globalization?

 

Globalization as already mentioned is hard to define because it is diverse, total, all encompassing and a gradual process and as such it will be a mere exercise in futility because an attempt at definition will require including all aspect of globalization and that can be quite daunting, and overwhelming. Retrospectively, instead of giving an outright definition, the term shall be discussed as a concept that developed into a full blown world village. Yes, it makes more sense to think about globalization as a concept, one that stems from the rich mind of curious thinkers, who in attempt to answer some mysterious happening in the world and ultimately seek for expansion and better life think up ideas, evaluate it, research it, discovers it and invents it. It all started with early philosophers and explorers like, Aristotle, Socrates, Plato, Mongo park, the Lander brothers, etc just to mention a few, who pondered about things on earth; why are things the way they are, the shape of the world, the human physiology, etc. These great men and many others not mentioned had an idea, evaluated these ideas, which due to research ultimately led to discoveries.

 

These discoveries mentioned above are a product of empirical researches one that gave birth to great inventions like: electricity, aviation, light, internet, ATM machines, transportation, automobile, tele-communication, and so many other note worthy inventions that results in improvements and development of the world, starting from the prehistoric era through ancient times, up to the modern and contemporary times.

 

These discoveries resulted to one major advantage and it is in constricting the world into a very tight unites popularly called global village. Imagine a condition where people move from one place to another without restrictions, international trading is made easier due to the elimination of geographical limitation; it is no longer compulsory to fly from place to place for business or any other concerns that may crop up, no more territorial restrictions, easy communication, etc, all make the world a big village.

 

You will agree that considering these and more, there are only positive effects of globalization to consider because though there might be negative aspect, but in this case the advantages prevails highly over the disadvantage.

 

Positive effects of globalization

Competition, Jobs, increase in wealth, economic growth, cultural and racial tolerance through spread of culture, transfer of technology, education, legal and ethics etc.

Competition - Globalization creates a perfect capitalist economy condition where competition between companies are encourage through been supplied with relevant inventions and resources which prompts healthy competition leading to increase in product and services from companies and customers – the center of interest.

 

Education - Through globalization education is made easier, because the resources required for easy transfer of information is available, example is the internet facilities as an information super highway makes learning very easy, people can now access any type of information from home.

 

Jobs/employment – With the elimination of geographical limitation companies can now expand their scope to other countries especially the developing ones to establish their organization thus generating employments, creating wealth through investments and so on.

 

Globalization is a great idea that has been nursed through the ages budding into great invention and discoveries that make life a great place to live – talk about the positive effects of globalization.
