So You Criticized Someone Today

How was your day today? Where was your world centered? Did you work on all your tasks, worked on your mistakes, tried to achieve deadlines, and finally got accolades for your work. I hope you did everything that relates to your success. Or apart from your regular work you

1) Told someone how bad work he has done

2) Found fault in his approach and told him how stupid he has been

If you even did slightest of the latter part than this article is for you. Criticism in crudest form is “You tell someone how Bad he is”. This can be in form of finding faults, trying to impose your way of thinking, or not in agreement with approach taken by other person. So when you do that you ultimately

Play like GOD

Yes you do. The important thing you should know about Human Beings are

1) They are emotional fools

2) They get hurt

3) They cannot hear anything bad about themselves

4) They think everything they do is right and they can never be wrong

So when you play like GOD you essentially

1) Dare to bruise their Ego

2) Hurt their self esteem

Criticism

Criticism

The END result you would get is

1) They will become Defensive

2) They won’t take you seriously

3) They will hate you

4) They will become Rebellious

5) They will attack you in return

6) They will consider you wrong than themselves

So think why you criticize someone (let’s do it again)

1) The approach is not as per your expectation

2) The result is not as per your expectation

So the key to Root of the Problem is “Your Way”. Well there are other things you can do to achieve this rather than making enemies. Use the approach

1) Tell them they are good

2) The work done by them is good

3) However you would like them to consider if this can be done in some other way

4) Alternatively try to find out the reason why it was not done in a particular way

5) Tell them the way

6) Help them and be on their side

7) Make them your champion to do the work your way

8 ) Shower all praises on them

Remember

1) Words are like weapon when you use them badly

2) Words are like medicine when you use them to help someone

3) Words are like sweet rhythm when you use it to praise someone

If you want to win someone

1) Make them the champions

2) Make them feel like champions

You would definitely get the result. See How I structured this post without telling you

1) That you can be wrong at times. (I didn’t hurt your ego)

2) That you cannot always think the situation other person is into (You used your flawed sense of Judgment)

You would make lot of friends and people who would be ready to help you Anyday Anytime.

Try it

Funny and true! You provided a real good example of how to send a critical message slowly and progressively without being too confrontational.

Have you studied persuasion by any chance?

  2. MysticMadness says:

No I havent read that. But since you have mentioned it, I will make sure to do some research on it.

Hey i really like your post, its short and sweet! You also covered some good points that every human being has individual value and by criticizing others your value gets reduced!
