The Winning Combination You Need
The more I have studied about winning, the more I am convinced that apart from numerous abilities they share some traits which are common across. Incidentally all abilities do fall in some sort of combination that makes up a winner. The great thing about winners is their attitude that makes them stand apart. They have an aura around that makes you experience a magic in anything and everything they do. No, you don’t get winners only in sports but if you look around you would see them at your home, workplace, or even in your neighborhood.
I started by reading articles on web and then sampled out certain people who seemed as winners to me from outset. I wrote various abilities and then combined them in a manner that they represent a common pattern. The results were in line and the combination that came out comprised of three abilities – Hard Work, Mindset, and Actions.
Hard Work- It is the backbone of winners. The more hard work they have put into their skills, the more refined they have become over a period of time. It reflects sheer perseverance, discipline, and a killer attitude to master things they know would make them a winner.
Mindset- Winners rise over numerous failures that develop the mindset which is stern and decisive. No matter what the situation is, they know how to convert it into their advantage. They have become so strong in their thoughts that they see nothing than a win. Even if they lose, they have the ability to spring back and stage a comeback.
Action- When it comes to actual performance their action speaks for itself. Their action has been crafted to perfection and they sing a song of their own. Their body follows a rhythm of its own that has the ability to make them no less than a winner.
Each trait in itself is not sufficient but an efficient combination of all three has the ability to make a winner out of any body.
1) Hard Work and Mindset won’t matter if the actions are out of synch
2) Actions and Mindset won’t matter if their no hard work done to make the killing
3) Hard work and Actions has no significance if the mindset is that of a loser.
If you want to be a winner you need to acquire the appropriate or full mixture of all these traits.
1) Hard Work makes you tough
2) Mindset makes you kill failure
3) Actions make the last move that helps you win.
Look at Tiger Woods (I still admire him a lot), Phelps, Michael Jackson or any other great personality and you would find
1) Years of hard work has perfected them for years
2) Every failure acted as learning for them
3) Their performance spelled the focus and concentration that has gone beyond it.
And it does not come in a day. It does not come in a week; it does not come in months or years.
You need year and years to craft yourself as a winner.
