Why Is Quality Important

What does quality means to you? People no doubts have different opinions of what they think quality is, because the word is simple, but don’t forget it is also complicated. Quality can be use to define a character/attitude, determine values, strive for excellence, and rank. So it can be use on both living and non living things, what is more it’s not gender bias. Why is quality important? To answer this question one need to consider many issues touching quality. Quality is the essence of life, the bedrock of creation. The bible reveals that when God created all things He said that it was “good”, and Man, “very good”. This means that creation as a whole was formed with the right ingredient, that makes it appear the way it is, beautiful! Look around you. If God in His infinite wisdom think it right to produce quality, then there is sense in creating (Man) with good quality as a priority, so the question why is quality important ought not to arise at all. Because been made from the Being that exudes quality, we ought to follow in His footstep. If that is so, why then is the earth riddled with so much inferior low quality stuff? In an attempt to tackle the issues presented in answering why is quality important, subject like what is quality, and other matters shall be discussed.

What Is Quality?

The Webster dictionary defines quality as a “degree of excellence” the definition though timely still fall short of some relevant issues that majors in discussion about why quality is important is absent, and it is the fact that quality is not only a measurement of excellence, it extend beyond greatness, or superiority, it also measures inferiority and unimportance. Thus we talk about low quality, and high quality. The outcome of level of preparedness after all required resources of an object is combined at a given time or period is mine own definition of quality. The concept of quality management has it that the measure of what is inputted into a thing is the same measure that will come out (Total quality management). According to Brian Tracy: “what you put in determines what you get back” this is the underlining principle of quality. So it is myopic to merely define quality as a measure of excellence, because quality does not only mean superiority, but it is all encompassing, touching all aspect of life – medicine, education, management, marketing, engineering, construction, relationships, etc. In marketing quality is measured by consumer’s satisfaction. The goal and aim in marketing activity is to bring smiles to the faces of the end consumers, that is why all the principle, marketing research, and so on is in place, it is believed that when a consumer is satisfied there is always a tendency for him/her to come back for more. Charles Schwab agrees to this when he declared that “having a clients that speaks well of you, is the largest resources of business” So answers to why is quality important will be centered on the principles of quality.

Why Is Quality Important?

· Hard work: Quality is important because it provokes and encourages hard work. Depending on what your interest is – superiority, or inferiority? If it is the former then know that it takes hard work and adequate use of resources like: time, personnel, raw materials, assets etc to achieve high quality.

· Encourage goal setting: A person or company that wishes to achieve high quality will be given to moment of goal setting, because attaining such goals is indeed a lofty one

· High profits: Man instinctively responds to good quality product, a company that is reputed to consistently produce good quality products is bound to have a bigger share of the market share, and this means high patronage and profits.

· General well being: To ensure general well been one must ensure that him/her invest in good attitude, and ethics in relationship, take care of your body by sticking to hygiene, treat people as you would like to be treated, believe in God, seek peace with others, work diligently at your job, avoid bad friends, get educated, and so on. By doing these, one is building and ensuring general well being.

Creation is built on the foundation of high quality, therefore it is important to follow the trend and create a life that is filled with excellence, and satisfaction – a life of high quality.
